de Havilland Day Fly-In

16th August 2025 - 16th August 2025

10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Enter the aviation revolution…

Almost a century ago, grassroots aviation was changed forever by the innovation of the de Havilland Aircraft Company. Based at Stag Lane Aerodrome, de Havilland specialised and refined the biplane until, in 1925, the Moth became the next revolutionary step for the flying world.

Compton Abbas is home to a number of de Havilland & DHC classics, including the Tiger Moth, Gipsy Moth, and Chipmunk, and welcomes many more! The Hornet Moth, Moth Minor, Dragonfly, Fox Moth, Puss Moth, and Dragon Rapide have all been known to drop in for some Compton tea and cake!

So for the fourth instalment in our Aviator’s Spotlight fly-in series, any visiting de Havilland aircraft are treated to a free landing fee, as we celebrate the rich history of aviation. PPR as normal, on 01747 811767.

For those coming by road, be advised that this Fly-In is weather dependent. There is no booking required or parking charge in operation. All updates will be made to this page.
