Over a century ago, grassroots aviation was changed forever by the innovation of the de Havilland Aircraft Company, and 2026 marks the 80th anniversary of one of their most beloved, enduring aircraft: the Chipmunk.
Compton Abbas is home to a number of Chipmunks and other de Havilland classics, including the Tiger Moth and Gipsy Moth, and welcomes many more!
To celebrate this anniversary weekend, any visiting de Havilland aircraft are treated to a free landing fee, as we celebrate the rich history of aviation. PPR as normal, on 01747 811767.
